The A13 (E55) Berlin - Dresden motorway runs to the west of the Spreewald region and the A15 (E36) Spreewald Interchange - Forst motorway to the south. It takes less than one hour to reach the Spreewald either from the Schönefeld Interchange south of Berlin or from Dresden.

| Arriving by rail |

Hourly trains (RE2 service) run from Berlin direct to the Spreewald and on to Lusatia. Stops include Lübben, Lübbenau, Raddusch, Vetschau and Cottbus. In most cases, it is only a short distance on foot from the stations to major destinations, although Stadtlinie bus services also run frequently. You can also easily reach remote places in the Spreewald using local public transport.

When arriving by air, you are advised to use one of the following airports: Berlin Schönefeld (SXF), Tegel (TXL), Dresden (DRS) or Cottbus-Drewitz (CBU).
