Holiday in the
Spreewald

... enjoy with all your senses

The UNESCO Spreewald Biosphere Reserve is a unique cultural and natural landscape with numerous hiking and cycling trails. The real beauty of the region, however, lies in the widely ramified network of rivers that you can explore on a punt trip or individually on a canoe tour.

Look forward to your next holiday in the Spreewald. Experience the diverse cultural and wellness offers. And try the regional specialities of the Spreewald cuisine, which has so much more to offer than just the delicious Spreewald gherkins.

The Spreewald punt is part of the cultural heritage

On 15 March 2023, the Conference of the Ministers of Culture of the Länder, acting on the recommendation of the independent Expert Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage of the German UNESCO Commission, newly included the construction and use of the Spreewaldkahn in the Federal List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Spreewald starts into spring

At Easter, the Spreewald launches into spring. At the large harbours in Lübben and Lübbenau, the ferrymen decorate the barges and accompanied by women in Lower Sorbian festive costumes, they say goodbye to winter and welcome the warm season. In Lübbenau, guests will once again find a wide selection of the most famous Spreewald vegetable with the opening of the Gurkenmeile (Gherkin Mile), and the first spring barge trips will bring guests to the unique cultural landscape of the Spreewald.

Holiday vouchers - give the gift of anticipation

The holiday vouchers are available in the value of 25€, 50€ or 100€ with a summer or winter motif of the Spreewald at the Spreewald Tourism Association. With the voucher you support the regional accommodation providers.
