During Advent, the towns in the Spreewald shine with Christmas lights. The pre-Christmas period in the Spreewald is characterised by a Christmas festive programme with Christmas markets, craft markets and even a "maritime" harbour Christmas in Lübbenau.
The traditional Christmas events in the Spreewald include not only the typical Christmas markets of the region, but also the Christmas caroling on the small island of Wotschofska or the Advent on the Farms in Burg, where the farms of the village whisk you away into a small Christmas world with culinary delicacies.
